Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data we process when you use Joinier, for what purpose, on what basis we do so and what rights you have. It is written in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, EU 2016/679) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is:

2. What data we collect

We only process the data needed for the app to work:

• Account data: email address, username, password (stored encrypted, never in plain text) and the profile details you add (name, bio, interests, profile photo).
• Content you publish: the spaces you create, their titles and text, and the photos, videos and files you upload to them.
• Activity data: to give you the metrics of your spaces, we record visits, link clicks and, when someone with an account downloads a file from your space, who downloaded it.
• Payment data: when you subscribe to Joinier Pro, the payment is processed by Stripe. We never store or see your card number; we only receive a payment confirmation and an identifier from Stripe.
• Technical data: device and browser type, and identifiers stored in your browser (see the cookies section) to keep you logged in and remember your preferences.

3. What we use your data for and on what legal basis

4. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with providers that supply us technical services (data processors), who process the data solely under our instructions:

• Supabase — database, authentication and storage.
• Stripe — payment and subscription processing.
• Vercel — web hosting.
• Cloudflare R2 — photo and file storage.
• Mux — video hosting and playback.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (for example, in the United States). In those cases, the transfer is covered by the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or other appropriate safeguards provided for by the GDPR.

5. How long we keep your data

We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we erase or anonymise your personal data, except what we must keep due to a legal obligation (for example, billing records, for the applicable tax periods).

6. Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability of your data at any time. To do so:

• You can edit most of your information from your profile.
• You can delete your account from Settings, which removes your personal data.
• For any other request, write to us at privacidad@joinier.app.

If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

7. Minors

Joinier is not aimed at anyone under 16 years old. By signing up you declare you are at least that age. If we detect an account belonging to someone under 16, we will delete it.

8. Cookies and local storage

Joinier does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. We use browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) only for strictly technical purposes: keeping you logged in and remembering your usage preferences. Without this storage the app cannot work properly.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the app or in the law. We will publish the current version on this same page, indicating the date of the last update.
